Gliding right along with the waves is really something special! We almost always see seabirds, seals sometimes. The light, the sound, the healthy algae that sway around the islands. I am a trained biologist and have worked with outdoor education. I am a certified guide and have my kayak training at BCU, coach and leader. Has been a resident of Koster for a long time and know the way among islets and skerries. I will take you to my favorite places. You will have a rich experience both knowledge-wise and emotionally! We are in Sweden's only marine national park. Welcome!
You get to make close-to-nature observations and use all your senses! Smell the life of the fish farmer, Koster's history, house types, geology and much more. Not least a fantastic view from Valfjäll. The guide gives you opportunities to discover Sydkoster in a way you wouldn't do on your own! We drive in all weathers.

Koster is amazing to see as you hike. We have time for details in nature and culture. The orchids at the edge of the ditch in spring. The color of the house knots. True and perhaps some untrue stories... North or South island.

A total experience with Stefan as guide. He is more or less a wikipedia all on his own and also a brilliant storyteller.

I took a chance and called Koster Kayak Tours and at very short notice was able to join a fantastic evening tour. Perfect conditions with sun and almost no wind and the fact that the tour boats had gone home meant that we got to experience the Koster archipelago almost completely alone. Above all, we had a safe and flexible guide in Stefan, who alternated paddling technique with interesting facts about life around the sea as well as fascinating anecdotes from Koster's history. Extraordinary kayak tour in the Koster archipelago. Thanks a lot Stefan for your equipment and tips. We had a gorgeous day. We saw a lot of birds and seals. The sandy beaches, the clear waters, the rocky mazes; it was the most perfect day.
BY TRAIN / BUS
If you come to Strömstad by train or bus, look towards the sea as soon as you get off. Walk along the water with Restaurant Skagerack on the right. Round the corner at Café Backlund. On the other side you will see Strömstad Infocenter and the Kosterbåten departs opposite. The walk takes 5 minutes. See Västtrafik for current bus and train times.
BY CAR
The easiest way to park the car is below the hospital, which is opposite the boat to Koster islands. Parking is subject to a fee in summer and free in winter. Parkingmap
THE CRUISE BOAT AND A SMALL WALK
Departs from the northern port, see timetable. You get off in Långagärde on Sydkoster. From there you walk along the road straight ahead for about 400 metres. You will find Kosters Trädgårdar on the right. That's where we have our base.
